When this service is due
Recognise any of these signs? Then an appointment is worthwhile.
When a tyre wears on one side or the car pulls to one side of its own accord, the wheel geometry is usually out. We measure toe and camber and set them to the manufacturer's values — which noticeably extends tyre life.
- One tyre is worn markedly more on the inside or outside than across the rest of the tread.
- The vehicle pulls to one side on a straight road.
- The steering wheel sits off-centre when driving straight ahead.
- You have hit a pothole or clipped a kerb.
- Suspension work has been carried out or new tyres have been fitted.

How it works with us
So you know what you are getting into – before you book.
Preliminary check
Before measuring we check tyre pressures, wheel bearings and suspension joints. Measuring with worn components means measuring nonsense.
Measuring
The vehicle is mounted on the rig and toe, camber and castor are recorded on both axles and compared with the manufacturer's values.
Adjustment
The adjustable values are corrected. Anything that cannot be adjusted by design points to bent components — we will tell you if that is the case.
Report
You receive the measured values before and after adjustment. So what was done is traceable.

When is a wheel alignment needed?
After suspension work, after a heavy pothole or kerb strike, with uneven tyre wear, and whenever the vehicle pulls or the steering wheel sits off-centre.
What happens if the tracking is out?
The tyres are dragged across the road at an angle instead of rolling. As a result they wear quickly and unevenly, and the handling becomes unsettled.
Is alignment worthwhile when changing tyres?
If you are having new tyres fitted anyway, yes. New tyres on a misaligned axle will be unevenly worn again in no time.
How long does a wheel alignment take?
The measuring itself is quick. How long the adjustment takes depends on how far the values deviate and whether bolts have seized.
